I’ve been delinquent about updating – chalk it up to exhaustion, reentry, and being under the weather. No sooner was Dad back at home recuperating than Mom, Chris and I, all three, got walloped with sinus infections. So Dad continues to recover at home, and so do we. He’s better, and that’s what matters.
I flew back to DC on Sunday, and messaged my brother this picture to let him know I’d made it.
I’ve been trying to get back in the swing of things at work, trying to write a little, and trying to read a lot. I couldn’t read while we were in the ICU – there were a thousand big and little distractions. So I didn’t read fiction for a week. Didn’t need to. Because, need I say it, #truthisstrangerthanfiction. More on that soon. It’s good to be back.
Finished reading Hillary Jordan’s Mudbound.
