The Divine Miss M

No disrespect, Bette, but I’m talking about Meryl. Even though I would have loved to see the sublime Viola Davis win for her work in The Help, there’s something really satisfying about seeing Meryl-the-Goddess-Streep win an Oscar. Fun fact: I was five the last time that happened. Anyway, even though embedding disabled by request, (Youtube, you and Google are getting lamer by the day [and yet I can’t quit you]) here’s her acceptance speech. Bra-va.

So, a few reasons why I love her so much.

And a quick lesson in how to become her (in the reverential sort of way; nothing creepy here folks):

Fun fact #2: her son is a singer.

Anyway, Happy Friday! Meryl for President!
